The international event New Space & Solutions, to be held March 17-21, 2025 in Seville, will dedicate its final day to recognizing the crucial role of women in the space and satellite industry.
Under the theme “Women and Space: Personal Trajectories,” this virtual day will bring together prominent leaders in the sector to share their experiences and reflections.
The dates of New Space & Solutions are not coincidental. They are set in the context of International Women’s Week, underscoring the event’s commitment to promoting gender equality. At a historic moment when programs such as Artemis are marking a before and after in female participation, the event seeks to position women as protagonists of this new space age.
During the five-day event, prominent women in the space industry will speak in interviews, sharing their experiences and perspectives. In doing so, they will contribute to promote gender equality and give greater visibility to female talent in one of the most innovative sectors with the greatest future projection.
Inaugural Panel: Ellas Vuelan Alto, Leaders of Equality
The opening day, March 17, will have a very high point in which the reference Association Ellas Vuelan Alto will conduct a panel discussion, moderated by Gema Martín del Burgo, president of EVA, where the important role of women in the Space Industry will be discussed. Ana María Marín Pérez, Director of the Technical Office of the Spanish Space Agency, will also participate in this round table.
Ellas Vuelan Alto has a transformative mission within the space industry. The main objectives of the association are:
- Increase female participation in the aerospace sector.

- Promote scientific vocations among new generations of girls and young women, especially in Andalusia, which aspires to be a benchmark in aerospace training.
- Eliminate gender discrimination in all its forms, working inclusively for social and economic development.
