- The “New Space & Solutions” event will bring together international agencies, researchers and industry in Seville from March 17 to 21, 2025, in the context of the International Women’s Week, to present the best solutions that Space can already offer to citizens, companies and administrations
- “What is so much investment in Space for?” will be the question that attendees will have to answer at this first edition of “New Space & Solutions”, in which the Spanish Space Agency (AEE), NASA, JAXA, pioneering companies, universities, the technology employers’ association AMETIC and, most notably, women will have the leading voice, unlike other technology events in which the vast majority are men
The city of Seville, which this year has been the European Space Capital, will hold next year a new event to maintain its position as an international benchmark for the space and satellite industry with the “New Space & Solutions”, which will take place from March 17 to 21, 2025 and in which the new Spanish Space Agency (ESA), with the intention of becoming even more involved in the ecosystem of the city, will participate along with the major international Space Agencies: NASA, JAXA and ESA.
The objective of “New Space & Solutions” is to make citizens, companies and administrations aware of all that Space can help solve problems in fields such as Emergencies, Security, Health, Logistics, Mobility, Transport, Agriculture, Environment, Meteorology, Education, Fire, Drought and Telecommunications, among many others.
The Cartuja Auditorium in Seville will host this international meeting, which was created with the firm idea of becoming an annual reference event on how space helps and will help solve the problems of citizens in cities, rural areas, services, travel, companies and businesses.

Women will be the main protagonist
The theme of “New Space & Solutions” in Seville will revolve around 7 major thematic axes, one of them being the role of women in the aerospace sector. That is why the dates of this innovative and pioneering event have been chosen to coincide every year in the environment of the International Women’s Day and Week, so it will also serve to give visibility and value the role of all women committed to Space at a time when, from the Artemis program and many others, women will be the protagonist of this new era.
Ellas Vuelan Alto will have a round table where some of its members will talk about the important role that women play in this sector, although it is often not so well known. The agenda of the event has reserved a full day dedicated to “Women in Space” for a dozen professionals to tell their trajectory and why they decided to dedicate themselves to this field. And the difficulties and challenges they have had to face to reach the positions they now occupy, as an example for young students around the world.
Another main focus will be to enhance the value of Space by making known what it can do for citizens and to know first-hand the opportunities in all segments, as well as to promote and give visibility to satellite applications.
Creating a space for dialogue with the Administration; identifying funding mechanisms at the regional, national and international levels; transferring everything that is being done to ensure protection, safety and sustainability; and monitoring national, European and global regulations will be some of the other main themes around which the ‘New Space & Solutions’ will revolve.
All presentations can be followed through ‘The Observatory’, the digital platform of Medina Media Events, in which all interventions will be available 24/365 for consumption on demand, like Netflix, but free of charge.
